I am not sure, what I do know is that I wish to put on an annual event. In short a Competition resulting in an awards ceremony each year.
From the professor: your first step is to determine who will pay your invoice. That's your customer. Then determine if the first time you win the contract with this entity will somehow ensure that you win the contract again next year. That will help you determine "recurring" or "once only."
